BOJAN BOSKOVIC (SRB) General Manager of Exit Festival

Bojan is one of the cofounders of Exit Festival. Just as a student at The Faculty of Technical Sciences at University of Novi Sad (where he graduated in Telecommunication Department), he already was engaged in social activities, and from there  trying to find a way for making difference in a country with  many social and political problems. He is leading a team which is organizing a festival that is the biggest cultural happening in the region. Every year this team grows from only 10 people to 5.000. It becomes the biggest machinery that involves management of thousands.

The EXIT festival came into being in the year 2000 as an act of rebellion against the regime that had for years been keeping Serbia out of touch with the outside world. That summer thousands of young people from Novi Sad gathered by the Danube River where concerts, parties and art performances took place.  Having been inspired by that enthusiasm, the team behind EXIT decided to continue with the festival, choosing the historic Petrovaradin Fortress as the venue. Those who came to EXIT spread the word that it was the best party in the Balkans. The festival proclaimed the State of EXIT - a state for those who share values, environmental awareness, and tolerance and are open to the different cultures. EXIT was awarded the prestigious UK Festival Award for the best festival in Europe for 2007, as voted for by festival-goers from all over the world.

The Bulgarian (BG)

The Bulgarian began producing and DJing in very difficult surroundings – in South Africa, in 1997, he had a measly Pentium 166mmx with only 32MB of ram, no Internet and a severe difficulty of getting his hands on any second hand kit to make beats on. But despite being cut off from much of the world scene, he started to get serious about music. He was into industrial metal at the time and as a result was making that kind of sound before getting into big beat and IDM which then led him to drum and bass and thus to the DJ booth. Since then he has drifted into house and techno music and made his name. The Bulgarian deconstructs conventional house, while sparring with elements of glitch, sleaze and tech to remaster the beats in his own personal style. After a few highly successful releases and partnerships with other labels and producers, his unconventional bump and thump sound landed him a spot as one of the original Potty Mouth Music artists where he still resides today. He opened his own music and recording studio in 2003 and later set up his label FETA with Vlad Sokolov for dirty, bouncy, experimental house after spending six months living with him and 3 more talented producers under the same roof in London at the tail end of 2007. He continues to turn out belters and has aspirations to take his songs on the road with a full electronic band, though whatever the future does brings for him, it is sure to be bright and thumping for The Bulgarian.
